Frindle Lunch Bunch

We knew when students had started reading Frindle because our students started asking us if they could write with a "Frindle" instead of a pen. (This makes sense if you've read the book.) Frindle Lunch Bunch was full of giggles and fun. These kids were challenged to avoid using the words I, or me. They were pretty tricky getting their friends to say the forbidden words. When they finished they enjoyed root beer floats that they could eat with a chitty, fizzle, or glupe. (Which they later found out were a spoon, fork, or straw.) This was so much fun we will definitely be doing it again next month.

Remember if you want to participate in Lunch Bunch all you have to do is:

1. Read the book
2. Complete a fun project
3. Return the book
4. LUNCH BUNCH - Join us for lunch in the classroom and fun times. :-)

Charlotte's Web

It's been a fun couple of days doing Lunch Bunch with our book club members. The Charlotte's Web Lunch Bunch did some word puzzles, made "spiderchutes," and ate Wilbur cupcake made by Charlynn Perry. (Even though Kodi got sick and didn't get to enjoy the fun with us.) We really appreciate the moms who help in our classroom. When it was time to eat the adorable Wilbur cupcakes Brynn informed us it was just "wrong." In Charlotte's Web, Charlotte works the whole book trying to save Wilbur, and we were going to eat him! Where's Fern when you need her?
