Little House Lunch Bunch

I'm so excited, our little "Lunch Bunch" book club is growing. This month we had 14 out of the 21 kids in our class read one of the Little House on the Prairie books, complete a project, and got to participate in a fun lunch activity. Next month we will be reading books with a magic theme. It would be great if every student chose to participate!

Today we made "homemade" ice cream and had a little stick pull competition. We were so thankful for Ziplock bags and premade ice cream mix. The pioneers would think we are soooo spoiled.

Art Show

On April 1st we had an art show at our school. For weeks we have been framing and hanging artwork to display in the halls and in our classroom. Each of the students in our class had a chance to perform the poem they memorized for the Poetry Out Loud contest.

Brynn at The Statue of Liberty

This week our class read The Story of the Statue of Liberty. It was a great coincidence that Brynn was visiting the Statue of Liberty the same week. These pictures are of Brynn at the Statue of Liberty and with an actor portraying Frederic Auguste Bartholdi, who was the sculptor of the Statue of Liberty.
